Introducing Sammy Davis Vintage: Vintage Shopping (and Sustainable Style) Made Easy!

Remember those artsy girls in high school – the ones who won “most unique dresser” senior year because they shopped at Goodwill and Salvation Army stores for cheap, chic, and cool threads while everyone else stuck to the mall? Sorry to say it – but I was one of them!

I have always had the patience to sort through the racks at my local thrift stores for awesome finds, but you may not – and I understand! Vintage shopping is a daunting task that can require a ton of time and energy behind it. You admire the girls who can “pull it off,” but may think that you just don’t have the same creativity to find and wear vintage like they do. But the truth is: You do!

That’s where I come in – to help you pursue your own vintage style that works for you (or what I call sustainable style with substance). I work to not only acquire and sell creatively comfortable vintage pieces for the contemporary girl, but to inspire and motivate her to incorporate vintage into her wardrobe in pursuit of confidence-building fashion and sustainable lifestyle practices. I curate the best vintage pieces to give you the look that works for you.

So why go vintage? Well not only does wearing vintage give you guaranteed street-stopper style that no one else has, but buying second-hand is a fun and practical step toward sustainable living. Sammy Davis Vintage is about gaining confidence in one’s personal appearance to gaining confidence in one’s strength to help the planet too. I exist to help you learn how to become a practical environmentalist through the pillar of fashion.

My styles are fresh, flattering, and financially-sound. I present my collection and its platform to women through private sales, parties, and pop-up events. If you’re in the New York area, check out my holiday shopping mini market & event on December 12th and 13th here!

Still intimidated by the thought of wearing second-hand? Well, in all honesty, I don’t only wear exclusively vintage or thrift. It’s impossible! What I do instead: I aim to substitute mass-produced clothing additions to my wardrobe with second-hand whenever possible. Instead of buying yet another mainstream, mass-produced piece from H&M or Forever 21, try shopping vintage for an eco-friendly and unique alternative. Second guess your purchases – it’s just a conscious awareness that takes practice!

For more details on my upcoming sales and easy, trendy ways to incorporate sustainable style in your own wardrobe, visit me at my site (sammydvintage.com), follow me on twitter (@sammydvintage) or email me (sammy@sammydvintage.com).

As I explore my own path toward eco-friendly fashion, I hope to inspire you, too!

Look out for my upcoming features on sustainable & DIY style coming soon to ANM!

Omg I was the SAME way until I went to town at Sammy’s showroom. Now I’m stocked with so many amazing vintage pieces! I’ll have to introduce you two one of these days. Maybe even at the party because I’ll def be there. Warning: vintage shopping becomes addictive!
