Quick Fixes for a Bad Hair Day post image

Quick Fixes for a Bad Hair Day

Waking up with beyond-repair bad hair is the absolute worst! Especially when you’re pressed for time and don’t have time to wash it or futz around with a flatiron.

The best solution for this dreaded situation is a quick and easy ‘do that requires minimal effort and delivers maximum chic-ness. Read on for three super simple styles to try and product solutions to solve any hair issue in a flash.

STYLES TO TRY:

1. Low Bun

A sleek low bun is a quick and easy fix for even the most horrifying hair days. Just part your strands down the middle (wet your hair just a but to get things nice and crisp) and then apply just a dab of a lightweight, flexible gel starting at the roots and comb through. If you’re super duper pressed for time, just twist your hair into a bun at the nape of the neck, tie with an elastic and get yourself out that door! If you have an extra minute or two, pull your locks into a low ponytail and then twist the hair around, securing it with bobbi pins. Finish with a lightweight hairspray for hold and you’re good to go!

2. Top Knot

You can also go in the opposite direction with a high top knot for a more modern style that radiates sweet romance. You don’t even need any products for this one because it actually looks better when it’s slightly undone. To get the look, tie hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic. If you want to get a little fancy, pull out a few tendrils for a flirty touch. Next, twist the hair and secure. Done!

3. Undone Side Braid

A side braid is super easy to create and totally on point with this season’s ’70s takeover. To take your side braid to the next level, pull it out a little bit, not so much that the pieces come out of the braid, but just enough to it looks a little fluffy (use my braid pictured above as a reference). This look is meant to be a little messy, but in that intentional sort of way that is always the picture of cool.

PRODUCT SOLUTIONS:

1. Problem: Stinky strands; Solution: Redken Nature’s Rescue Radiant Sea Spray, $17.
Stinky hair happens and can be tough to beat! This spray is the perfect solution when you don’t have time to wash a mane that’s in need of some freshening up. It is formulated with time-touch fragrance capsules so your hair will smell better and better as the day wears on.

2. Problem: Limp, lifeless hair; Solution: Phyto Phytovolume Actif Maximizing Volume Spray, $28.
This spritz is perfect for hair that needs a pick-me-up. Spritz hair at the roots, blowdry for about a minute (or less) and watch your flat locks rise to new heights!

3. Problem: Oily hair;  Solution: Biolage Scalptherapie Oil Control Treatment, $19.99
Extra oily strands are an inevitable part of summer. Keep your scalp clean, fresh and oil-free with this miracle worker that cleanses the scalp of excess oil and impurities with just a few spritzes.

This is great site. I had the chance to read couple of your articles, and must say- all of them are amazing. This are really great ideas! My favourite is the Top Knot, which I do every time when I am in a hurry and do not have enough time for complicated hair -styling. It is simple , and yet modern.
