The worst advice ever. The child comes first, but the child’s mother does not. He does not need to do anything that offends the current girlfriend. He can do activities with his current girlfriend and his child together. Now school plays, graduations, etc, he has to interact with the kid’s mom. But later for all that stuff. The kid’s mom is an ex and should be treated as such. It’s about the child. After the kid, the CURRENT girlfriend is a priority and her feelings.

No your not being jealous or small minded…he should not be going on family outings together with his ex. He can go on outings with his son and take you instead. Being attached like that to his ex just shows that he is not ready to be in a relationship with anyone else. This is excessive co-parenting and it’s all fine and dandy if he was not in a relationship with some one else, but when he is in a relationship with someone else he does not need to ever spend time alone or as a family with his child’s mother.
