Style Guide: 3 Last Minute Holiday Outfit Ideas

Can you believe that we’re already way past the half point of December?!  I feel like this year, and especially this month, have flown by and with all of the gift shopping and holiday party planning, my outfit choices for the big days have been pushed aside.

There are so many different ways to celebrate the holidays, but looking fabulous is always a must, so here are some last minute outfit ideas to help you prep your look for any style occasion!

Morning Casual. My family has always celebrated the holidays in morning casual attire, but that doesn’t mean rolling out of bed in your messy PJs and ruffled bed head was an option (especially when family pictures are being taken!).  To keep comfy, yet chic, try something inspired by this look.  A cozy sweater or cardigan, layered over a slightly slouchy tee and some linen harem/pajama style pants will help you keep your look pulled together without looking overdressed.  Throw on some oversized glasses and some flats and you’ll be set.  Plus, this look can easily carry you through the day and the separates can be paired in a variety of ways.
Holiday look 1
Sweater: Helmut Lang Shawl Cardigan ($550); Tee Shirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim Overlapped Side Seam Tee ($250); Pants: Zara Herringbone Harem Pants ($60); Shoes: Modern Vintage Helena Lacquered Toe Flat ($138); Glasses: Illesteva Hudson Optical Round Frame Glasses ($22)

Afternoon & Evening Casual
There are some family holiday occasions that require a little more dressing up than comfy-cozy, but don’t require you to put on the full ball gown either.  Afternoon and evening casual are great ways to take some of your most easy and loved pieces and dress them up with some fab accessories.  Try pairing your favorite skinny jeans with a draped top layered under a blazer.  This look is sleek, yet not too much so.  Pair with some serious arm candy, a sexy pair of pumps, and a great handbag and you’re set.
Holiday look 3
Top: Helmut Lang Deeptuck Tee ($185; Now: $129.50); Blazer: Forever 21 Metallic Jacquard Jacket ($34.80); Jeans: Dorothy Perkins Indigo Authentic Super Skinny Jeans, $39;  Shoes: Manolo Blahnik Nude Leather Pump ($595); Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Mini Satchel ($650);  Earrings: Pamela Love Bronze and Turquoise Spike Drop Earrings ($345); Bangles: Coach Pave Bracelet Set ($138)

Dressy
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I love getting dressed up for the holidays.  There’s just something magical about getting decked out and spending time with the people you love the most during this time of the year.  I’m all about the pretty cocktail dress or the flowing maxi, but I’m also all about fabulous separates that look just as formal.  Try a pretty sheer and/or sequin navy top, paired with wide leg black trousers, sexy open toe booties, and top it all off with loads of arm accessories and a feminine clutch.  What’s great about this is that: 1. You’re comfortable and can move and 2. You will get plenty of use out of these pieces.
Holiday look 2
Top: Forever 21 High-Low Sequined Collar Shirt ($17.50); Pants: Alice + Olivia Eric Wide Leg Pants ($275); Shoes: Christian Louboutin Diptic Booties ($995); Clutch: Windsor Satin Clutch ($32.90); Belt: Tory Burch Patent Leather Bow Belt ($165);Watch: Michael Kors Lexington Chronograph Bracelet Watch ($250); Bangle: Michael Kors Gold Buckle Bangle ($125); Bracelet: Mulberry Bayswater Bracelet ($340); Ring: Michael Kors Pave Stack Ring ($125)

xoxo,
