More than friends or am I in the friend zone?

So there’s this guy I started texting and we’ve gotten really close in the past 3 months. we’ve never met due to the corona situation. Initially he’d text me all day long and then he responded to all of my snaps and insta stories. He stopped texting as much. he’d tell me about other girls he’s into, but now calls me every other day and fills me in on his life and he’s given me a pet.name and he’s told me that he can’t have a proper conversation like he and I or as him and his ex did with this other girl and he isn’t in the space to get to know someone new. I recently went through something painful and didn’t respond to his texts on all of the social media platforms for a day, so he called me the following day and said he was really worried and that if not call, I should at least text him twice a day and let him know I’m okay. Does like me or does he see me as just another friend?
