My friend was sick on Monday, and it’s now Thursday. She threw up once and then just had bathroom issues that night. No fever, body aches, etc. No one else around her got sick including her husband. She said she’s fairly confident it’s something she ate. She never left her room and she also hired a professional cleaner to disinfect her house and used a professional UV machine because she knows I struggle with emetophobia. I’m dog-sitting at her house now and am wondering how safe I am after all of that? I was never around her, just in her house.

    You’ve not hurled yet, I think you’ll be ok…

Sounds like she was right and it was probably food poisoning. Stomach bugs tend to transmit very quickly (many within 48 hours), so if you’re still okay after 3 days, you’re likely good. Especially if her husband didn’t catch anything.
