Hello all!
Have a question about how my boyfriend hugs me. Been together for a little over a year.
I was posting a picture on Facebook that we took together at the park today. I guess I hadn’t really noticed before, but, in the few pictures that we have with each other, I noticed that he never hugs me with an open palm. When he puts his arms around my waist, he clenches his own hands so, his fist is against my body. Doesn’t lay his palms on my body.
Not sure what to think of that. Any insight?
Our relationship is going steady. Kind of gotten into a routine. We see each other 1-2 times a week. Sometimes three times. I spend the night at his house either once or twice a week. Our sex life is ok. He’s not the most sexually active guy. He often has issues in the bedroom, if you know what I mean. But, I love him, so, I can live with that.

This is a non issue. What are you really concerned about?

I don’t know, he may be introverted/ shy? I don’t think there is that much meaning beyond that. I wouldn’t dig into this one. The question is are you really asking about closed fist hug, or is there more that you’re concerned about. The so so sex life seems to be the bigger issue, no? Sex life that need improvement never boded well.

If you Google close-fisted hug, you’ll find it’s a dude hugging style.
But honestly, I wouldn’t read a whole lot into it or get hung up on it. Not all guys like hugs, even with people they love.
