So long story short, we were together for about a year. He just recently caused an argument to breakup because he felt I wasn’t committing. Since then we have seen each other once and I explained what happened in the relationship that caused me to hold back. He then cried but stuck to wanting to stay broken up and he wanted me to move on. Now the minute he hears I am trying to move on, I get a text. This turns into more random texts. Is he coming back?

I wouldn’t know if he’ll be coming back but i do know something. Leave him and move on. I’ve been in a similar situation and inviting guys like that back into your life is draining.

Option A: Bob, I appreciate you reaching out, but I think it is best we don’t engage. I do wish you the best, and I will reach out when I am open to communicating.
Option B: Bob, I appreciate you reaching out. However, I need to be honest. I find it confusing when you contact me. The reality is that unless you want to reconnect for real with a goal towards reconciliation, I think it is best we don’t engage. I am open to that, but should that not be your aim, I ask that we no longer be in contact. I wish you the best.
