I wrote a letter once, at the time it was very much cathartic, yet, I showed my best friend, who said, it did come across as needy and clingy. I totally ignored her and as this guy only lived 10 mins away in the car, I drove, to his home and hand posted it through his letterbox.
I should state, that we had split about 2-3 weeks before this. Or rather we did not split in the usual way, he just stopped replying to texts, cancelled dates, til I messaged him saying, I do not wish to be with someone who does not want to be with me.! That was how it ended. Yet, I still was very hurt, enough to pen the letter and deliver it.
I really thought the least he would do, was pop me a text to say, Oh I am sorry, I did not know you felt that way, so apologies, but I think things are best left.
I heard zilch! , which only served to make me feel like crap even more ! Until about a month later !, when out of the blue, he did send me a message!, saying he had only just seen the letter !. I thought impossible as I hand posted it myself through his letterbox!. That was the best thing he could of said!. My hurt went immediately! it was weird. He just showed his true colours with that message. Keep writing pages of how you feel to get it all out! sure. However, please do not send him any letter. It will not heel you any quicker I fear. I know how you are feeling and believe me it does really get better. :)
