To samantha, you posted on an old post and probably will get little response., most people wont be content with what he has to offer. But considering his age, this is probably a man set in his ways, can compartimentalize you in one night and thats it. You can ask more but most likely wont get it. I doubt also if he wants to live together or get married. Its really up to you what you want. My uncle faced a situation like yours where his gf didnt want to live together and didnt want to have kids. He really wanted both but loved his gf more. So they have this living apart together for 30 years now.
So it really depends what kind of relationship you want
