Okay so it’s totally normal for a woman to get all clingy and insecure after sex… it’s the impact of the bonding hormone called oxytocin. Now that doesn’t mean you should act on those feelings, but give yourself a break for having them. That’s normal.

There will probably be some repetition here but I hope this helps.

    1. Next time, make sure you are either in a relationship before you have sex and/or talk about what you need when it comes to sex (including cuddling after, a phone call the next day, etc. Negotiate that before you have sex, whether you’re in a relationship or just wanting a fun roll in the hay).

    2. The effects of oxytocin last 2-3 weeks. Older women or women with lower estrogen levels may not be as intensely impacted… but in general it lasts 2-3 weeks and you will feel chemically bonded to him. The more sex you have, the more bonded you will be to him (but it doesn’t work that way for men, as you probably know already)

    3. I don’t know if he will call or not but if he doesn’t call, this awful feeling should subside within a couple weeks, especially if you distract yourself and don’t let yourself get too obsessed… and do not think about him when you masturbate… if you do, you’re bonding yourself to him. So if you need to orgasm, think of someone you’re not going to be hurt by, like a movie star or something.

    Hope that helps!
