I have been thinking about this lately, and I wonder what the intentions are. Over the last couple of years I have dated/hooked up with a few guys. Nothing serious or long lasting. In the past couple of months, 4 of them have followed me on instagram. One guy I deleted after sometime, and then he re-added me about two months later. All of them are currently dating someone or have a serious girlfriend.

I don’t understand the point in following me? I know some people are curious, but if you are dating someone else and are happy, why follow me? I don’t post a lot, especially more personal things (relationships, job). I only post about my dog or beach pics (california).

I began to delete them because it got to the point where I am not really interested in seeing them in a relationship (especially when I am super single). Felt it wasn’t adding anything to my life by being able to glimpse into theirs. I only knew all of these guys for short periods of time too.

why do past exes (serious/not serious ) want to keep tabs?

Are you sure they are really keeping tabs on you?
Most people have so many people on their list that they follow but, pay no attention to them.

Much less are people purging their follow list.

In any case if this bugs you, unfollow and block them. Why should you care about someone who adds nothing to your life and you are no longer seeing?

I think going forward don’t add anyone until you’re exclusive, it will eliminate this for you.

Before I met my boyfriend I didn’t add random guys I met online. My social media is a glimpse into my life and I’m not sharing that with everyone.
