I met this really cute girl in a concert back in September. She is a friend of my roommate’s girlfriend. We had a really nice talk, but ended up getting lost from each other during the concert, and I didn’t get her contact. I haven’t seen her ever since, and barely saw my roommate’s girlfriend in the meantime.

Today I saw her commenting something on my roommate’s girlfriend Instagram (first time I actually find her social media profile.) What would be a good way to open a conversation with her without it being weird?

Start by following her insta.

Then send her a DM saying Hi, remember me from … concert?

While you wait for a response, check her profile if you can find out if she does not already have a comitted relationship. This will spare you the awkwardness of asking her out prematurely.

Once she replies, continue the convo casually then ask her if it’s cool you stay in contact.

Then take it from there.
