Ex offers ride in snow

My ex and I broke up 2 months ago. It was amicable. I have been dating but haven’t met anyone yet that “fits”.

Yesterday was a big snow day. The bus was still running and I was on my way when suddenly my ex pops up with a text. He is picking up his car from a garage that installed chains on his tires for driving in the snow.

I was flabbergasted at his sudden appearance. I told him no I’m taking the bus but thanks. Secretly I was feeling taken aback wondering why his sudden offer.

Well the next day I texted him about the snow situation and he was unresponsive plus he complained about the crappy weather. He didn’t even want to continue a conversation with me and was rather cold. Like he was sulking!

Why would a grown man act like such a grump because I turned down his offer for a ride? We’re not even dating anymore,so what gives?
