Active on Facebook but not opened WhatsApp should be worried?

Have been seeing this guy who I met through work
And it’s been a laugh and we seem to get on really well, usually we text each other daily and sometimes we both take a few hours to reply and that’s ok with me as we both get busy.
However today I noticed something really odd.
His green light on Facebook I mean for hours has been on and I text him back on WhatsApp just something general after he messaged me something last night and a funny meme thingy I saw that he may like and he hasn’t even opened the WhatsApp message and I mean it’s like been all day active on Facebook and the WhatsApp message has not been open.
Am I over thinking? Should I be worried perhaps his lost interest and avoiding me? Should I see what tomorrow brings? I don’t want to look a weirdo and pester him.

Yes, you’re overthinking. Online status indicators are unreliable. You don’t know what’s going on for him right now. It’s very possible that he’s not really on Facebook at all, and is not able to check Whatsapp messages right now.

It’s been one day. Relax.

I was sitting next to my boyfriend on the couch yesterday and we were both scrolling through Instagram. I happened to notice that Insta showed him as inactive even though we were looking at each other’s feeds and showing each other stuff. There have been multiple times where I’ve been watching him folding laundry or doing dishes while I’m on my phone, and Insta shows him as active, even though he’s clearly not.

So yes, those indicators are extremely unreliable!

Just relax, it’s only been one day. Definitely don’t pester him. He’ll respond eventually.

After now hoursss It’s still saying his online on Facebook but no luck with him opening my WhatsApp message with what I sent hours ago ( Iv sent nothing since as pestering someone is never a good thing )

But you guys are right I do need to relax as it’s only been one day. And i could just be over thinking things and being insecure.

Thank you. I’ll see what tomorrow brings and stop looking at my damn phone haha.
