I looked at my call log today as I keep getting calls from random unknown numbers.
To my horror somehow my phone must have pocket dialed my ex. I was certain I had removed his number 3 months ago. Obviously not.
I am SO embarrassed. One was a 3 min call, the other close to a minute. How can a phone just dial a # when you’ve not been dialing or receiving calls from it!! I haven’t been thinking of him at all either.
So I get a phone call from his # tonight, but didn’t answer it as I’m not interested in being friends.
I’m beside myself as he probably thinks I’m stalking him. I need other people’s thoughts on this embarrassing faux pas!

Chill. It was a mistake and you’re not the first one who’s done this and you sure won’t be the last. Just text him you’re sorry you pocket dialed him by accident and didn’t mean to disturb him. And then leave it alone. If he tries to talk further, just tell him you think it’s best if you continue on your separate paths.

Delete the number and laugh about how silly life can be sometimes. We are all human. ;) Just move forward with your life.

Agree with all said, except I don’t even think you need to text him explaining. Depends on how it ended and what you want now.
BUT- if you really want to forget this person, I know one thing that works like magic is you have to go one step further than deleting- you may want to block. This way you avoid the whole “happily living your life having totally forgot about him” and then one day you distractedly look down at your phone and see a message out of nowhere from him.
But again, depends on what you want:) I’m big/pro-team “exes are your ex for a reason” but that’s just me. Good luck !
