hello I made a previous post, but here we go, have been seeing this guy since late October. We have been out on 6 dates and just this past weekend I met his older brother for a sit down planned ahead dinner. It went really well. Like I don’t think it could have gone any better. I said how I had a really nice time and it was fun and he agreed. Slept over his place that night, had sex (only 2nd time having sex) and got food together next afternoon. We both were clearly hungover and tired so that’s why it felt off for some reason and well I could tell we were both thinking of the holidays and whatnot. We said bye wished each other merry Christmas, his bday is next week so I also said happy early bday, thanks for a great night, and he said he will text me. Every other date has ended it with “we will do something next week”, and obviously with the break that’s different this time. We spent 20 hours together from Saturday to Sunday, so I presume it’s okay if he doesn’t text me for one day. part of me just wants to shoot a text since it’s xmas eve, but in my gut I want him to text me first because he WANTS to text me first not because he would be obligated to reply. This is the longest we haven’t texted (yeah I know a DAY!) since we first started talking. Part of me is worried he will ghost but I really don’t get that vibe from him. Point is I like him, he said he would text but do these texting games really apply still? I also figure it’s the holidays and people are all over the place. God I sound crazy. But these unspoken rules exist! And trying to balance not coming on as clingy but then keep showing interest! I’ve read countless things as what to do, and I probably got half it’s alright to text and other half says wait.

I think you should wait .
He will reach out . Just let him be the first to reach out because like you said , if you text and he replies you’ll still be wondering where his head is at.

Plus , to add to that, he said he will text you . So don’t jump the gun and text him first . It will show you are impatient and don’t trust him to text you. He needs to know that you do indeed trust him to follow through with his word
