Would a man be flattered if women remembered a nice endearing gesture that a man had expressed or done awhile back.

Example: a few years back a male friend of mine was leaving out of state for graduate courses. He never hugged me before and out of the blue that day we ran into each other in our favorite coffee place he hugged me. Recently I sent a holiday card noting thankful for his friendship and expressed that I never forgotten that hug. I’m just curious if men would be flattered by that?

Yes men like to be thanked for things they did or gifts but in this case, im sorry to say, its on the border of crazy. This happened years ago in a coffee place and now you sent a card for that? But on the plus side, im sure it will trigger a ‘whaaaat?’ When he gets it. And probably he will be flattered by the fact he gives so great hugs in coffee shops saying good bye he gets thank yous about them many years later. But really its weird

Was the hug the main purpose of the card or was it a side note? If the former, I agree it would be received as weird, unless he was an understanding/chill person. More context needed to say for sure

Generally, most people would appreciate knowing they had a positive impact on someone, or you were thinking of them. But I wouldn’t say flattered

What kind of response are you hoping for?
