LDR BF said he would call but didn't…

My BF of nearly 5 months has been calling every night before bed. I was in the middle of degree exams so busy during the day so we only talked once I had finished all my studying after 9/10pm. And we usually talk for bout 2-2.5 hours.

For the past two weeks, after exams, he’s been slacking off on our phone call routine and texts. He mentioned that he’s had a rough week with his family so I assume it was that and gave him space. Didn’t reach out unless he phones, which he did. On top of that, usually if he missed a call from me at night, he’ll phone me back and vice versa. But lately he didn’t even bother phoning me back and no more good morning texts (during he whole exam period, he texted me good morning almost everyday, now he just says he slept in).

We are on lockdown, so it’s not like he’s got a job to get to. And even before when he was working, he’d phone. Is something up? I have a feeling something is up on his end, don’t think it’s me though. He reassured me that he still likes me and all that and want to drive up to see me. But I repeatedly said no due to strict lockdown.

Like today, I didn’t reach out to him and he phoned me saying he wants to see me and had a general catch up. And at the end of the call I said I’ll phone you at 9 and he said sure. I phoned at 9, didn’t answer. He’s been on Instagram so I know he’s seen it. Any advice on this? Am I not his priority anymore?
