This guy and I have been talking online since July. We met in a Facebook group. And we’ve been texting each other. He’s been saying that he’s into me and that he’s interested. I was going to meet up with him last month. But he was in the hospital because he had seizures. The last time we talked was on Tuesday and he was saying how he wanted to have sex with me etc. I haven’t heard from him since I texted him on Wednesday he didn’t respond. I texted him again today saying that I hope he’s not in the hospital again and that I’m worried. The last time we went a while without talking was last month when he was in the hospital. I don’t know why he would say he’s interested in me. And that he wants sex just to ghost me it doesn’t make sense.

Marie-you are wasting your time and energy/interest on this guy. Waiting months and months to meet and then he is suddenly sick? Talking about sex when you have not even met? NO NO Just stop contact with him. He is a poor bet. He is either unavailable cause he has a GF or he is lying about who he is. Something does not add up.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with talking to a person for a while before meeting up with them in person. He wasn’t lying about being in the hospital. His parents were looking after him.

We are in March of 2020, you’ve been chatting with him since July of 2019.
That’s way too long!
One week is more than enough time to schedule a date.

@ Khadija: At one point he wanted to come see me but I told him not to. I talked with another guy online for a year before we finally met up in person. And everything was ok we are actually still talking now and that was five years ago.

I like to be friends first and see where things go.

What is going on with you that you makes you fall for pen pals? I know of not ONE man, other than one that would be in prison for life that would want a text/online friend that’s a girl. You need to set your standards much much higher if you want an actual real life BF.

People meet online everyday that’s basically the new thing nowadays. Obviously we would meet and actually see each other in person. It wouldn’t just be a text/online thing.
