New boss at work

A new boss started at work and after talking several times, he said he absolutely loves talking to me. He goes overtime on our meetings and is extremely talkative and animated.

I am on the shy side and have a hard time being open. But with him I feel like holding nothing back, like any problems I am having, suggestions, or even good things. My previous supervisor a woman was nice but rather detached in her own world.

I’m hoping it’s his just manner with everyone. He suggests numerous things he will do to fix my issues which is great.

I’ve never had a supervisor who I connected so well with on a mental level. I feel fortunate. Do people think this is OK, the extra attention type of manager type of guy?
