I went out once with a guy that I work with a while ago. (We work separate jobs but same company). He said he be down if I want to hangout again. He’s super busy, with three jobs and school so we haven’t hung out since. He takes hours to text back when I had his number (but I lost it) so I figured he’s busy and now hasn’t contacted me since we’ve hung out. So I figured we’d just be friends! He may not be interested.

However, then I go to work and he smiles at me non stop, sometimes turns red and I catch him staring frequently all day, to the point where other coworkers have even pointed it out and began to notice. We have mirrors all over our walls so I can see him watching me and if I look up he either smiles or looks away! Everyone knows he is a little awkward and super shy. But he himself claims he’s super outgoing. So I’m unsure if he’s just a shy guy or doesn’t like me back.

He’s started to randomly make comments about his schedule during our conversations as well. Like « I’m sorry I’ve been so busy! I was taking new classes! » « man.. you know I have so much free time on my hands now » « idk what I’m gonna do today.. because I’m free » he often hints that I should text him. he asks me many personal questions and says my name often. In person he seems interested and but I don’t know why he’s never acted on it himself.

Problem is he hasn’t reached out again so I don’t have his number. Which seems like he’s uninterested. Some how he is still in my snap chat recommendations! However I don’t want to add him and reach out and it be weird if I’m misreading his hints. But I also don’t want to not reach out if he is interested and make him think I’m not!

I haven’t out right talked to him about this because we never have privacy at work and people gossip.

    What do I do?

If he asks you to text him, tell him you lost his contact info. He may have lost yours….

That said, dating a coworker is not a great idea.

Yea no I totally agree, we work for the same company but not together and I’m getting ready to change jobs!

Look, if a man is interested you have to hit him with a bat to keep him away. Look elsewhere for love.

if he is really interested he will keep in regular touch and fix up meetings with you. he is doing neither. even if he does stare at you all day long how does it matter if he is not making any real efforts at getting to know you and meeting you outside of office hours? I think you need to just put him out of your mind and focus on your work when your at office.
