Backstage Beauty: Brian Reyes

Inspired by Brian Reyes’ refined spring 2010 collection, Tresemme hairstylist Martin Christopher Harper, makeup artist Bobbi Brown, and Dashing Diva’s Pattie Yankee came together to create a look that would compliment the collection’s cool color palette. The hair was pulled into a texture pony-tail while the makeup was kept soft with the perfect pop of color.

Backstage Beauty: Charlotte Ronson

For her Spring 2010 collection, Charlotte Ronson was inspired by the ballerinas of New York, specifically the way they look when leaving dance class and mix their dance attire with their regular clothes.

To enhance this motif, hair stylist Allen Ruiz from Avon and makeup artist Charlotte Willard for Maybelline created just-walked-out-of-dance-class looks that were fresh and natural-looking. The hair was pulled back into chic, slightly undone buns and the makeup was kept soft, sheer and translucent.

I got the chance to hang out backstage before the show to talk to the stylists and watch the looks come to life.

Backstage for Twinkle by Wenlan gave the nasty weather outside a bit of a run for its money. The colors were bright, the hairstylists used the rainy clouds to its advantage, and spring was definitely in the air. Backstage Beauty: Andy & Debb

With a pop of spring color on the lips and a clean French twist, Andy & Debb’s spring 2010 show didn’t disappoint. As I spent time backstage, I became inspired by the almost duel personality given to each girl. The look described a daring sophisticate.
