From runways to red carpets to real life, fashion mishaps, or ‘wardrobe malfunctions,’ can strike anywhere at anytime and are never fun to deal with (trust me, I’ve endured plenty!).
Nipple slips, deodorant marks, ‘headlights,’ sweat stains, plumbers butt, muffin top- all of the above can ruin even the most fantastic of ensembles- not to mention your night!
After enduring countless ‘malfunctions’ of my own (including just about everything listed above!) I set out to make such unfortunate incidents a thing of the past.
To do so, I tracked down the fool proof items used on runways and red carpets to prevent faux-pas and gave them all a try. These days, my world is a much happier, mishap-free place!

Boob-eez, $12. I absolutely love backless tops and dresses (hmm, I feel a post idea coming on!). However, wearing bras with this style is not an option which is why I love my boob-eez. These handy ‘concealers’ are perfectly sized to only cover what needs to be covered without adding extra bulk to the breast. Unlike other nipple concealers I’ve tried, these are virtually invisible even under super flimsy garments. Wear them underneath jogging bras, swimsuits, slim tanks, and so on to prevent stopping traffic due to your ‘headlights.’
Miss Oops Rescue Sponge, $12. This handy sponge instantly vanishes those pesky deodorant marks that are almost impossible to avoid. A few quick rubs and the unsightly white stain will vanish before your eyes!
Foot Petals Tip Toes, $6.95. Wear your highest stilettos with comfort and ease thanks to these miracle cushions! I have tried plenty of products like this but Foot Petals is definitely my favorite. They will keep the balls of your feet cushioned while protecting against calluses and other painful afflictions our favorite shoes can cause.
Miss Oops Mishap Tape, $7. Forget the double stick tape at your local drug store, this one was specifically designed to keep your garments in place, be it plunging necklines, loose straps, screwy hemlines, flapping belts, and so on. This apparel tape was actually designed to move with your body and your clothes and will stick to your skin no matter what without causing irritation.
Garment Guard, $23. Sweat stains are a very unfortunate fact of life that even the most potent deodorant can’t always prevent. Thanks to these disposable underarm shields, you can wear your favorite light-colored tops with confidence and without having to worry about keeping your arms firmly pressed against your body.
Miss Oops JAKS, $24. Bid a fond farewell to butt cracks and muffin tops with this form-fitting band that fits over low-rise pants and under tee-shirts and tops. When worn, it looks like a simple lace cami or tank and is a great way to keep your assets covered without having to layer several pieces.
Airplus Hug My Heels, $7.29. My heels used to be covered with unsightly blisters and scabs, a very un-pretty site to say that least that always caused a wave of ‘oh my god, what happened to your feet?!’ Fortunately, those days are long gone thanks to airplus. Just stick these in your shoes for to keep your heels gently cushioned and blister-free. This is also a great tool for shoes that have stretched out and no longer stay put.
Spanx Bra-llelujah, $62. Pretty much everyone knows about or owns a pair of Spanx- a godsend for flattening out bellies and toning tushies. Well the Bra-lellujah brings the same magic to the top-half, smoothing out back fat and other unsightly bulges. It’s amazing what a difference a smoothed out back can make in the way your clothes look, seriously!
Miss Oops Lint Roller, $5.95. Stow this portable Lint Roller in your bag to keep your clothes in top shape throughout the day.
isaBelt, $16.95. This invisible belt is the perfect way to adjust your clothes for the perfect fit without a trip to the tailor. The flexible, clear belt virtually disappears when worn and prevents back gap, slippage and of course, belt bulk and belt bulge.
