Muse-Worthy: Stylish Celebrity Couples

The couple that stays together…usually ends up dressing alike! Celebrities are great resources for style inspiration, whether it’s for your personal style or to coordinate with your significant other.

Whether it’s synching up your everyday looks or figuring out your special event styles, creating a harmonized look with your guy can be a tough task.  One way to make it easier?  Look to your favorite celebrity couples for some easy tips and tricks for nailing coordination.

Check out our picks for the top five most stylish celebrity couples to get inspired by:

1.  Beyonce & Jay-Z
jay z and beyonce

Not only are Beyonce & Jay-Z the reigning royal couple of the music world, they sit pretty high in the fashion world as well.  Bey, for her part, always looks stellar.  She’s turned into a fashion chameleon that can look as fantastic in a hoodie and jeans as she can in a gorgeous red carpet gown.

Jay, on the other hand, has perfected a sophisticated look of classic and hip hop and always bring a touch of his swag to whatever he’s sporting.  What I love about these two together is that they both have their own unique style, yet they always look so coordinated. The reason their styles work so well together is that they have learned to incorporate something from the other’s look into their own.  Whether It’s a hint of color in the shoes, different prints of the same color scheme, or rocking similar monochrome style, they know how to play off one another while still keeping their own sense of style keeping them stylishly in synch on and off the red carpet.

2. Diane Kruger & Joshua Jackson
diane kruger and joshua jackson

Who would’ve thought that Pacey Witter would grow up to become a half of one of the world’s most stylish couples.  It doesn’t hurt that the gorgeous Diane Kruger happens to be the other half, but beyond just their beautiful looks these two have developed an impeccable coordinated style by working with neutrals and pops of color to create a very classic and streamlined look with a twist.

Diane and Joshua have perfected the minimalistic look to a T, but they keep their look from getting too matchy by incorporating a loud pop of color between the two of them. Whether it’s a bold pair of jeans, some funky shoes, or playful patterns, adding this touch of brightness keeps them from looking boring and is just enough to keep them from looking uncoordinated.  Perfection, if you ask me.

3.  Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux
Jennifer aniston and justin theroux

Jen and Justin may be a relatively new couple, but they haven’t wasted any time influencing each other’s styles.  We’ve seen Jen’s style evolve since the start of their relationship and she’s added some of Justin’s rock & roll edge to her perfected Cali cool vibe, which he’s while he’s toned down his bad boy look and picked up a bit of her laid back Cali style roots.  By blending their styles, they’re able to easily find a happy median that keeps their look cohesive.  Picking up on each other’s fashion inspiration can help you blend your differing styles and also give you both a new look to rock out to.

4. Victoria & David Beckham
David beckham and Victoria

Victoria & David’s longstanding coupledom has not only secured their place as one of the greatest international celebrity couples, they’ve also have plenty of time and practice to land themselves as one of the most fashionable as well.  These two have definitely perfected the art of looking amazing in each other’s company and they sure do make it easy.  Yes, they are incredibly good looking (we’ve all seen David’s H&M underwear ads *swoon*), but they have nailed down their impeccable style as well.

What seems to work with them is their juxtaposing looks.  Becks tends to keep it simple and casual, allowing Victoria to take center stage with her incredible fashion choices.  The key here, though, is that Beck’s still looks slick and put together, even if he isn’t nearly as dressed up as his designer wife.  And it’s not like he’s lacking in the style department, either, because this guy knows how to rock a suit and brougues like the best of ‘em, he just knows the perfect way to tone down his look to let his Mrs do her thing without creating any style clashing.

5. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West
Kanye west and kim kardashian

Ok, so Kimye has had more fashion flops than fabs during the course of their relationship, but I have to give them props for their risk taking and confidence.  While I’ve never been a huge fan of Kim K’s style, I have to say that she’s definitely become more adventurous with her style since making it official with Kanye and I must say her fashion has grown more on me since he’s been in the picture.  Say what you want about their style, but there’s something to take away here: experimenting with your other half’s fashion inspiration can be fun and open up a whole new outlook to how you look at getting dressed.

The wonderful thing about being in a relationship is being able to introduce new things to one another, and in some cases that includes style and fashion.  In Kim’s case, she’s developed an edgier look and developed new found confidence thanks to the influence of her man.  This doesn’t mean to go out and lose your own personal sense of self and style, but trying something new can help grow improve these areas of your life and at the very least teach you something new.

What we can learn from these fashionable couples is that you don’t need to get all matchy-matchy with your other half and you definitely don’t have to lose your individual sense of style.  By coordinating your looks with one another, it not only looks clean and stylish but it also shows how in unison you are with one another.  Yes, it will take practice but start by following these tips from our favorite famous couples and before you know it you’ll be rocking the coordinated look like pros.
