Muse-Worthy: 5 Street Style Looks to Emulate

I admit that I love looking at street style pics.  Not only do I love looking at pretty fashion, but I also find some great inspiration from these pictures, too.  Street style is a great way to get the creative juices flowing to help inspire you to create new looks with what you already have in your closet or to help you achieve that certain look when shopping for new items to add to your wardrobe.  Or maybe you have that impulse buy – the one that you feel instantly in love with but still hangs in your closet with the tags on – another reason to check out some great street style.

So here are 5 fabulous winter looks to copy now or to put your own fashionista twist on:

1. Bold Winter Color. Nothing like turning a dreary winter day around than a bold pop of color!  Winter tends to bring out the darker side of our wardrobe, so why not dream of spring in this colorful, color blocked look.  Plus, I love the added hint of toughness with the leather motorcycle jacket – pure perfection!  And depending on the weather you may want to rock booties, unless you’re a brave sole (pun intended) and can sport some serious pumps in some serious cold!

Necklace: GUESS Encrusted Bib Necklace ($40)

2. Winter Whites. One look I’ve really dug this season is the all white ensemble.  It looks incredibly crisp and chic and it also gives you a great palette to get crazy with your accessories.  Take a cue from this fabulous fashionista by rocking a pretty all-white look with a touch of lady-like peplum, funky florals, and preppy over-the-knee riding boots.  A slight touch of gold and you’re ready to take on the town.

3. Winter Parisian Chic. I’ve always been incredibly envious of those incredibly chic Parisian women.  They could be wearing potato sacks and would somehow manage to make it look like a Dior Haute Couture gown.  That’s why I had to include this look.  All of these pieces are relatively basic, but paired together and you look like you should be walking down Champs-Élysées.  Simple and elegant with a hint of badass (those leather pants – need I say more).

4. The Winter Office Look. There’s really no particular reason I chose this besides I just loved the easiness of this look.  Comfy wide-leg pants, a pretty cropped jacket, and a basic grey tee.  The proportions here are great (a good example on how to pull of wide-leg pants if you’re not sure), but the look just comes together so well.  Add an oversize pair of shades and a pretty red lip and you’ll be ready to take on that early morning meeting.  Also a great day-to-night look.

5. Winter Denim. I love the whole denim on denim trend, so here it is with a winter twist.  Layer under a sweatshirt, top with a beanie and a trench, finish off with a short pair of Hunters and you’ve got comfy casual chic on point.  Oh, and don’t forget the studded clutch!
