Celebrity Style Secrets- Exclusive!

Whenever I get the chance to chat with a celebrity, I always make sure to ask for their best style secrets. The reason is pretty simple- when you’re a celebrity, it’s your job to look amazing all the time and as such, you are constantly surrounded by the most skilled fashion and beauty experts in the entire world. I have learned quite a bit from the celebs I’ve spoken to and I think you will benefit as well. As my gift to you, I went though ALL of my interviews from the past year and rounded up all the style advice I’ve received.
Read on for amazing tips from the fabulous stars pictured above!

Molly Sims on her best fashion secret: A nude shoe is probably the best tip because it elongates your legs. So especially if you’re a little concerned if you’re wearing shorts or something shorter than you’re used to, do a nude shoe- it makes your leg look longer.

Try: Vince Camuto Ava Pump, $110

Emma Roberts on her personal style: It’s really casual. I usually just love to wear like skinny black jeans, heels and a vintage shirt and then a denim jacket- that’s just a cool outfit!

Try: J Brand Skinny Jeans, $165

Leighton Meester on must-have handbags: Since I travel so much, I love a big oversized bag. I have this amazing red Valentino bag that I carry on with me. I have this big tan leather Missoni that I’m obsessed with, and Longchamp makes the best luggage that you’ve ever had in your life- it’s so utilitarian for being a luxury item.

Try: Valentino Histoire Framed Tote, $2,395

OR

Longchamp Le Pliage Luggage, $235

Rosario Dawson on dressing to feel sexy: It really depends on what it is, like what time of the day, where you are in the world. What feels really sexy to me is like a slip dress and flip-flops in New York in the summer time, I love that. In Venice beach you just see pretty girls on their bicycles with the baskets going shopping and they’re just simple- no makeup or anything. But then you get super dressed up for events and it’s really fun. And then you have feeling sexy in a pair of your boyfriend’s jeans, so it really depends on your mood!

Try: Organic Bias Slip Dress, $120

Lydia Hearst on the key to looking amazing: Be confident in yourself. It doesn’t really matter what you’re wearing, if you feel comfortable and confident and sexy that’s all that really matters and you can make anything look attractive.

Nicky Hilton on her best style tip: I love accessories, I’m really into jewelry. I love diamonds- I think you should wear them during the day, I don’t think they should only be worn at night.

Try: Ziamonds Pave Hinged Hoops, $495

Tina Fey on her best fashion secrets: Good Lord, It takes an army of gay guys! I feel like I have learned stuff about what shapes work for me, you will never see me in any bias-cut garment, ever, that’s the biggest thing I’ve learned. And I’m just trying to learn that thing of like not letting clothes wear you. I have a friend who said a great thing, ‘don’t wear what fashion designers try and sell you, wear what they wear.’ When you see fashion designers they’re almost always in like the white shirt and pants or like a simple dress, and they make it look fabulous, just dress like the actual fashion designers dress.

Cheryl Hines on the key to looking great: I think it’s to make sure your clothes fit right. I think a lot of women might buy a size smaller because you don’t want to admit that you’re a size bigger, but nobody cares what size you’re wearing! Nobody looks at your size! Even if you’re single and you had a one night stand, I PROMISE you, after you roll around in bed with somebody, he’s not gonna go look at the size in you jeans.

Jordin Sparks on being comfortable at any size: I can’t say that everyday I look at myself and am like ‘you know what, I’m comfortable with myself.’ There are some days when I’m just like ‘Why can’t I just look like that!’ Or I wanna put a bag over my head or something like that! I mean it happens. But overall, I’m happy with myself and I guess what I just have to say is love you for you and don’t change for anybody else- as cliché as that sounds. Once you’re YOU and you’re comfortable with yourself, people will just love you because you love you and you’re happy- people can tell and people can see that when they see you. In terms of style, I would just say try out different styles until you find what best suits you- what’s comfortable, what makes you look good and what makes you feel good.

The celebrities gave practical, useful tips for an everyday woman’s wardrobe. The best advice came from Lydia, Jordan and Cheryl collectively embracing the individual that makes YOU sparkle. Once you exude confidence, wear clothing that fits and embraces your figure, size does become just a number.
