5 Looks Guys Love (Told by Real Guys)

When it comes to dressing, us women more often than not want to impress the guys and sometimes that’s not as easy as it seems.  Men’s ideas of sexy and what we perceive it to be doesn’t always correlate, but after doing some research (by talking to real guys) I’ve found 5 killer outfits that we not only love but they love, too.

I asked some of my trusted and most stylish guy friends what looks they find sexiest and took their ideas and created 5 amazing outfits that will catch any guy’s eye.

Look 1: The Pencil Skirt
This simple, yet classic look seems to be a crowd favorite and for good reason.  The no-fuss, sleek pencil skirt is a great way to show off your sexy figure without giving too much away and according to both Chris S. and Denny V., men love that mix of professional and sexy.

This skirt is a great closet staple and can be worn with anything from a graphic t-shirt to a sequin top, but what guys seem to love most is pairing it with a crisp white button up and a pair of pointed-toe heels (one guy even mentioned throwing on a pair of sexy glasses to complete the look!).  Add some extra sex appeal by trying out a leather version and remember to leave an extra button open to show off just a little bit of cleavage.

Look 2: High-Low Dresses
Hi-low dresses have taken summer fashion by storm and guys are loving this trend too!  Joe S. says he’s a fan of these fun, flirty looks that show off your legs and play off your fun personality.  This look is trendy, yes, but it’s easy for him to grasp and one he wants to see you in.

This look is funky, so have fun with your accessories by adding loads of bangles, layered necklaces, a side-sling bag, and some gladiator sandals.  This Is perfect for daytime adventures or sexy late night date nights.

Look 3: Long Necklaces
Don’t think that guys aren’t all that interested in how we accessorize.  Brian M. loves long necklaces and finds them sexy because they not only draw attention to your bust but because they accentuate your beautiful face, too.

Long necklaces are easy to throw over anything and are great ways to incorporate some layers into your accessories.  For a casual day look, layer with other pieces over your favorite white t-shirt but for date night try keeping it simple and layering one over your favorite structured peplum or bustier top and a sexy pair of jeans.

Look 4: Cocktail Dresses
Jason M. finds body hugging cocktail dresses sexy.  And don’t fret about what colors guys think are sexiest – he says that any color looks hot!  Now you don’t feel the need to squeeze yourself into one of those super tight bandage dress– what he, and all other guys are getting at here, is that they want you to show off that gorgeous bod of yours.  Slim fitting sheath dresses, cute mini skater dresses, a sexy pencil dress – any of these will knock a guy’s socks off!  Pair them with some sexy heels, a great bag, and a sultry smile and you’ve got this look nailed.

Look 5: Drapey Clothes
Yes, ladies, it’s true – guys aren’t always jonesing to see us in super tight attire.  Often times they dig a pair of boyfriend jeans or a baggy t-shirt on us, and Nate Z. says that it’s because it leaves something to the imagination and they can’t wait to see what’s really underneath.  I’m not saying to go throw on your grandma’s mumu, but adding a little drape is definitely a good thing.  The best way to achieve this look is to pick one piece you want loose and keep the rest a little form fitting.  If you want to try and go loose fitting all-around, make sure all pieces are flattering and a little more body hugging.  When done right you’ll have your guy urging to take you home to check out what’s underneath.
