Exclusive Celebrity Beauty Secrets!

What is it about celebrities that makes them look so great? Sure, some of them are naturally beautiful, but another major component is the fact that they are privy to the best beauty tips and tricks around. Whenever I interview celebs, I always make sure to get their best beauty tips and product recommendations because why should they have all the fun?

Read on for amazing beauty tips and product picks from the lovely ladies pictured above!

Michelle Trachtenberg on her best beauty tips: Concealers are really important I think. Kevyn Aucoin makes an amazing concealer, as does Bobbi Brown– they’re like a nice creamy base. I think the most important thing is to find a moisturizer that you love. Obviously La Mer, hands down, is extraordinary, and if you can’t do La Mer there’s Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair which is phenomenal!

Products:

Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer, $45

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer, $22

La Mer Creme de La Mer, $160

Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair, $150

Rosario Dawson on beauty advice: Put a good, heavy moisturizer at night. I also put sunscreen on, I just think that’s really important. And I don’t use foundation, tinted moisturizers is a really good way to go because you’re face is still getting SPF and still getting a nice color, but it looks natural. I also started using Mineral makeup. I like mineral powder because its got, I don’t know, minerals in it! So it’s not as clogging as other stuff.

Try:

Stila Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15, $34

Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Powder Foundation, $34

January Jones on beauty secrets: I always wash my face a couple times a day. I’m a big fan of Liz Earl’s line, it’s an organic line from the UK but you can order it online in the US- it’s amazing and very clean. I get allergic to a lot of perfume-y stuff, so it’s really nice and not too expensive.

Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish, $9

Mary Louise Parker on skincare secrets: I don’t go in the sun and I quit smoking and I don’t drink very often. And I’m kind of a product-whore, I like Dr. Hauschka and Jurlique because they’re natural and I can use their stuff on my kids even.

Products:

Dr. Hauschka Skin Care Rose Day Cream, $42.95

Jurlique Balancing Day Care Cream, $76

Dita von Teese on cultivating a unique style: Well I think the biggest tip is you have to remember is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You just have to do what pleases you, what makes you feel good and confident. And don’t follow the rules, don’t follow the do’s and don’ts of fashion, or beauty, or makeup. I hate it when you’re looking at a magazine and on one page it says: ‘don’t wear a strong eye and a strong lip’ and on the next page you’re looking at a beautiful ad, and there’s a strong eye and strong lip! So follow your instincts and your heart, and do what you like. If you like blue eye shadow you should wear it!

Try:

Smashbox Eye Shadow, $16
