Expert Tips:
– According to celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine (look out for his new makeup instructional DVD The Basics of Beauty coming out in June!) a cream concealer is ideal for more coverage, and a liquid concealer is best for creating a sheer, even finish. Sam also recommends using a loose powder to set the concealer so it lasts longer.
– For under-eye circles, Beauty.com makeup artist Tina Turnbow advises you should always use a concealer that is a shade lighter than your skin tone (don’t use light concealer on blemishes though because this will make them stick out more).
– When it comes to application, it is always best to tap the product on- either with your finger or a firm, pointed brush- rather than smearing it in.
