Is there anything us galls crave more in this world than gorgeous skin? I think not!
We all know the tried and true secrets for a naturally radiant complexion: drink lots of water, get eight hours of sleep, stay out of the sun, blah blah blah. And while all that definitely helps, sometimes you just want a quick and easy fix to help you fake it ‘ til you make it. Is glowing skin on-the-go too much for ask for?
Turns out it isn’t! I was tickled when I received a sample of Uplight from MAKE UP FOR EVER ($29)—firstly because it’s always fun to try out new beauty products but more importantly because it gave my lackluster complexion the pick-me-up of a lifetime!
What the heck is an Uplight, you ask? Well, it’ s a lightweight face luminizer gel that kind of feels like a primer and looks like a tinted moisturizer that delivers an instant shot of million-dollar skin. I tell no lie.
After giving it a try, I met up with some friends and was greeted with a sweet serenade that went something like this: Your skin looks gorgeous! What did you do? Facial? Chemical Peel? Bikram Yoga? Tell! Now!
The next day at work: same thing! No hellos or good mornings, just compliments left and right. I mean enough already!
But seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a beauty product that delivered such powerful results in such a subtle way– no one even believed that I was wearing makeup!
There is no skill required to use this product. Just apply a tiny drop over your makeup– or on targeted features you want to highlight (like cheekbones or brows) and done. Even the greatest makeup neophyte would have a hard time screwing this one up!
The Uplights come in eight different shades and three unique finishes: dewy, pearly and sparkling. It contains more than 70% water allowing it to melt right into the skin and is formulates with nourishing mango butter to add moisture while illuminating the face. What more could you ask for in a product?
